I ride religiously to work about 6 days a week for years. I did fix some of the controls so now she goes to 32 on full throttle. I ride in all sorts of weather except snow because I live in the south. With my husbands bike, his battery only lasted about a year. That was very sad because we make sure that they are never sitting on the charger for longer than needed or completely run down. Now after a few years of having mine, my frame cracked and is not safe to use. We are going to email them to see what they can do or what the warranty is. But I did just purchase the new cruiser…

It is an outstanding value. I am curious to know , however, how the Samsung battery fairs with regards to fire hazards and if it is UL 2849 certified. There have been many reports of late about e bike battery fires and in some instances death associated with said fires.
Thanks !

The bike has 6 levels not 5. You forget 0 level. As you said this is a good bike without the power. When on level ground from a start(red light) I use level 5 through the gears to 8 then turn power to 0 and keep on riding. Doing this has doubled my range.
I’ve done a few hills between a 1000 foot rise and 1400. Hit 48 mph on downhill. The speedometer is pretty close to my GPS readings.
My longest trip and my first was 65 miles with the last 15 no power.
Oh yes I like my bike very much. I got the grey non step thru. It goes well with my all black and grey riding outfit. I’m turning 72 in February and have never felt better.

I am in the same situation an agree completely.
Does ride1up know of this review?
Seems they would dispute it or provide another bike to review.
I am very disappointed 😞
EBR, I appreciate your review very much, your site has the best reviews that we can see for ourselves.
Thanks

I’m torn between the 500 series and 700 series because of this report here. I was really wanting to get the 700, as it’s supposed to be superior, but your hell hole test here gave me a lot of suspicion about whether that’s true. I can’t get my head around why the newer model with seemingly larger battery, and higher wattage motor can’t show the same performance (at least). I’m thinking: is it the LG vs Samsung battery difference (which’s supposedly better if it’s Samsung, but still), or if it’s the motor brand (and another smaller spec) that’s causing this kind of a difference. If I knew why, I could purchase the 500 model, but this very well could be a manufacturer’s faulty battery/motor issue, so I can’t do that either.

Thank you for this review and for letting us know about this, but it still gave me a lot of confusion, which I wish ride1up cleared somehow.
