I contacted EBC and specifically asked about which model is best for seniors with back problems and the model R was recommended as the best choice. I did ask a customer about their bikes and they said they are good bikes but a little long so not sure how much this would affect the upright position/comfy ride.

Will you be reviewing the Model R?

One of their upgrades is a front motor and a second battery stealthed in the base of a front basket. I’d love to see performance numbers and a summary of extra weight and value on such a tricked out beast. The quote from their customizer website put it over $5k

Since we started implementing the hill test, the Aventure is indeed the fastest time up it. (Specifically the Step Through model)

I’m amazed that anyone still mounts a large battery high up at the back of the bike, with much of the weight hanging out past the back axle. With the motor in the back wheel, there is so much weight in one place. No matter how many good points there are about this bike, where the battery is mounted is crucial.
